Digital Photogrammetry
Relying on advanced computer systems, specialized software and over 100
experienced mapping professionals, Spectrum Mapping has been at the forefront
of moving maps from paper and mylar to digital raster and vector information -
an important step in creating digital mapping for a powerful and reliable
Geographic Information System (GIS).
For over 25 years, Spectrum's Mapping Services Group has been at the heart
of Spectrum. By combining traditional, trusted, time-tested methods of
photogrammetry with the most industry-current technologies, Spectrum is
able to provide effective solutions through reliable data. With nationwide
production centers and experienced professionals, Spectrum helps governments
and private industry realize the benefits of digital data.
Data Acquisition
Has the appropriate technology been employed to provide the results you
need? Since Spectrum maintains a fleet of survey aircraft, equipped with
high resolution digital and conventional cameras, LIDAR systems and
hyperspectral sensors, the foundation for acquiring the correct data is laid
providing accurate results - from start to finish.

Through the use of aerial photography, soft copy plotters, and an array of
mapping and engineering software, Spectrum provides the highest degree of
accuracy for digital orthophotography, vectorized layer development and GIS
mapping.
The combination of an accurate visual (raster) image with vector data,
creates a powerful planning tool. On a simple vector map, for example,
assessors might only see a property line, but with an Orthophoto and an
overlaid parcel map, the assessor can readily identify physical features
that define parcels.
